Jun. 12th, 2006 01:07 pmSo, if you have read
desert_mourning, you will have seen the news that the shit is going to hit the fan. Today, tonight, tomorrow, sometime soon, no actual date set.
Basically, the stepfather took the car yesterday about noon and hasn't returned yet. He knows that Di and I had/have to work. Di ended up calling in this morning, and Will (the brother, not the roommate) is bringing me the Passport a few days early so I can get to work.
The bad part? My shit for work is in the car. My badge, timecard are in the dashboard cubby and my folder is on the backseat.
And before anyone says 'Call and report it stolen', I've done that. It's not considered an actual theft because he lives in the same house and he had 'permission' to take the car. (Some weird law in Nebraska and Iowa [yes, I've tried reporting it in both] states that if they live in the same house and have been allowed to use the car before it is considered permission to use the car whenever)
Di may kill him. Seriously. She was asking last night how much damage she could do to him without going to jail.
So, that's what is going on.
