Sometimes, I forget how freaked out people get when I talk about Di going into the hospital, which is something that doesn't freak me out. The freak out comes when we're trying to get her to actually go to the ER, and when we're sitting in the ER waiting for the doctors.

The rest of the time is a bit of a vacation. And like this time, after the first day or two, she's up and moving around and a million times better than when she came in. It helps that she's the youngest person on this floor, so as long as she's not throwing a party or leaving, the nurses tend to let her do as she wants.

So, if I sound like I don't care that she's here, it's not that. As I heard a cancer patient say once, 'it's just that this is NORMAL for me.'
