Some help here.

I am going to be purchasing a new laptop this fall, Web will be donated to either my brother or his girlfriend, whoever wins the Mortal Kombat fight that is sure to go down.

The needed help? What the hell should I get. I want something better for gaming, something that isn't going to crash after two hours of Sims or while playing something graphics heavy. Is Alienware any good, I don't want to buy a computer because it looks shiny and find out it's crap otherwise. (Because, you know, Alienware is SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINY. *pets the little aliens that she would name Loki*) (And yes, Stargate and mythological peoples, I know that is possibly cursing my computer.)
