Seriously. The easiest route to the local library branch has, like, NO shade.

Anyway, dropped off one Bishop book, have three more on the tv to read. I will probably get to them today after staying up late (*coughs6:30amcough*) to read a borrowed ebook version of Shadows and Queen.

Today I picked up... two graphic novels (Serenity: Those Left Behind, The Sandman: Fables and Reflections) Charlaine Harris' Living Dead In Dallas (will hold off reading until I get the others this week sometime) Elizabeth Baer's Dust (yes, I judged a book by its cover) and Rachel Caine's Undone (twice).

Oh, and I got my new Wired mag this morning. :D

Why Do I Want To See 2012?

  • It's a disaster flick! I could stop here, but I won't.

  • It takes off from one of my favorite 'End Of The World' prophecies.

  • Oliver Platt.

  • Chiwetel Ejiofor (The Operative from Serenity for those who don't know)

  • The clincher? In the trailers, the USS John F Kennedy taking out the White House.

Although, I personally am of the belief that while the natural disasters will get worse leading up to it, they won't get to world ending points and that the 'end of the world' part will be the 'world as we know it', meaning basically a full on crash of what is already going on. (Wall streets and banks completely crashing, limited utilities/phone/internet/other communications, governments going boom, basically everyone having to live off the grid for a few years while the world governments rebuild.)
