We are officially in our new place. Yes, I know we actually moved in Sunday night, but I never call it official until the net is hooked up.
So. Moved in. Net is had. Cable is had. (OMG, I haven't had cable in YEARS!!!) Mostly unpacked. Listening to the classic rock station on the cable.
I live in Farmville. Seriously. The people behind us have sheep. And horses. There's a fucking gang of roosters that crow every fucking morning somewhere in front of us, a block over or so. We actually live in an open cattle range area, so there is the chance of cows.
The kicker? The area we live in is officially called 'Green Acres'.(Although, Google maps swears it is called Blanco Estates. I think I'm going to believe the sign seen as you drive in.)
Tonight I heard the coyotes and neighbor dogs singing. I haven't seen a javelina yet, but I think that's coming. Next up? Buying the pieces to put up the small fence around the house. (We live on a freaking ACRE. I'm only fencing about eight feet in front of the house, and 12 to 16 in back.)
