So.  Someone tried to start the building I work in on fire last night.  No, I didn't work, it was my night off.  Whoever did it shoved a roll of burning christmas paper in the ductwork and started a fire in a wastebasket full of toilet paper and papertowels and placed it near one of the interior doors.  Thankfully, they didn't use any excellerant (sp?), so nothing burnt except for a spot in the carpet and some ceiling panels before the fire department got there.  The other night girl who was working last night smelled the smoke, grabbed her cell phone, ran out and called 911.

Wanna hear the kicker?  They don't have any proof, but they think she did it.  It happened about 3am, and the girl who left at 8:30 says that the door was completely shut and the intercom turned up when she left.  When the boss got in, the intercom was turned all the way down, and the night girl says she didn't hear ANYTHING.  Hell, I hear when that door opens when I have the radio on.  And there is no way she could have missed someone opening the ladder to get to the ceiling, because it bangs when you open it.  *shakes her head*

The bitch, if she did it, has to be on drugs because she screwed up.  She used paper towels, toilet paper and wrapping paper. With no excellerant.  There was plenty of fingernail polish remover laying around for her to use!  Not to mention lots of stuff in the kitchen that would have sent it up in a blaze.

I know it gets boring up there at night, but I've never tried to start the place on fire.
