So, here's the deal.

The modem is fried. It finally up and died. The only thing we can get is wireless, but we can't get Willow's wireless card configured to pick up the wireless connection. (Apparently her card is obsolete or someshit. The tech support guys had never even heard of it. It's an OriNoco Wireless LAN (3.3volt) card.) That crisis is averted. With Nix's help, I got it working.

It's going to take at least two weeks to get the new modem, because I have to wait for the return label to be mailed, send in the old modem and wait for them to ship the new one. We could have the new one over-nighted and then send them the old one, but we don't have the extra hundred to spare for the deposit. New plan. We keep this modem until we get the extra hundred (I should be getting a small tax check here in a week or so), over night the new one, then send the old one back.

So, this sucks. And I get to listen to my aunt about all of this in the morning because she does e-college. I will not have to listen to her. I will install her wireless card, and get it running like the others. The only one who will be without internet is Di, but she can use mine to check email and stuff, and I will catch up on reading while she is doing that!
