Cops just hunted down and arrested a guy in the yard across the street from us. It was fun to watch. This MAY be what they arrested him for:

Omaha police are still looking for the man who shot another man late last night.

It happened just after 10 p.m. near 11th and Center.

31-year-old Shawn Judge was shot.

Police reports say judge was in his apartment when he got into a fight with another man.

He told officers that other man pulled a gun and shot him.

Judge's injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Willow heard the suspect say something about murder, but it may have been for attempted murder.

I would just like to make one thing perfectly clear.

I do NOT live in a fucking ghetto. Last night? Was the first such incident of ANY kind in the entire year I have lived in this neighborhood. My neighborhood is one where kids play basketball in the park behind my house until nearly midnight. It's an old italian neighborhood with lots of kids.

Last night was a fluke. We have a park behind us. Kids were on or are just starting spring break. Stupid shit happens sometimes.

So, before anyone goes rushing to the roommate with 'thank god you're moving!' bullshit, just remember... Stupid people live everywhere.

I have a new icon, which I stole from Karra, because I found out something today.

I have McKay Syndrome. In that I do my best, I-just-saved-my-ass work when I'm under pressure and have a tiny deadline.

How else do you explain the fact that my essays with the best grades are the ones I wrote two hours before they were due.
