What a wonderful day.
Sep. 11th, 2008 07:40 pmRain, rain, lots of rain.
Back on the Tuesday after Labor Day, my brother stepped on a nail at work. At first he didn't think nothing of it, but he's been having problems. Last night we FINALLY convinced him to go to the ER. (His boss made him fill out an accident report on Monday, just in case he did go, for insurance purposes.)
Anyway, the ER doc gave him a tetanus shot and two scripts for antibiotics. Today, the hospital has been calling and calling and CALLING. Or rather, the radiologist has.
Turns out, the nail cracked the bone. They want him admitted TONIGHT to start IV meds and get an MRI, because between that crack and some elevated counts in his blood draws, they're very worried about a bone infection.
I've promised to call him Stumpy.
