Skyler is in the hospital with a severe case of pneumonia. His right lung is all nice and infected. It's not new either, I guess he's had it for at least 3 weeks now according to the doctors.

Desi has been having the same hacking cough that Skyler did about a month ago. Di came down sick this weekend. Supposedly Skyler is still contagious (Walking Pneumonia anyone?). Needless to say, I'm not at all thrilled about this as I've had that spongey feeling in my lungs the last two days.

So, thoughts and prayers and all that one gets better and the rest of us don't have it, please.

Skyler is doing better. They finally got his fever to break, he's breathing better and eating. This is mostly due to the antibiotics, fluids and steroids running through his system at the moment. That is all I know so far.

I am raging at an instructor already and we've only finished the first week. The program we have to use in Network Essentials is Microsoft's Network Monitor for our labs. Well, the instructions in the lab manual are for an earlier version of the program that doesn't work with Vista. The version that does run with Vista has been completely revamped and doesn't match up with the instructions in the manual at all. (Of course, it doesn't help that the instructor only uploaded the 32-bit version of the Vista one, making those of us with the 64-bit version of Vista have to go hunt it down on our own.) I sent out a mass email to the class and found out that I'm not the only one having issues. Two other classmates have emailed the professor more than once each and have yet to get a response. I just ranted a bit in the lab report about the fact that all I could do was install the program and couldn't get any farther.
