My latest little horror thought, besides the whole 'Deadpool meets Stargate' idea. Although, I do have this idea running through my head of 'Stargate meets the New Mutants'. It's based on one of Magik's teleport discs going haywire and dropping them on top of the SG-1 crew. Anyway, horrifying thought:

Stargate meets Lord of the Rings.


Seriously. What if Arda was actually a world in our universe, and their Stargate is in Valinor. The whole 'going to the west' thing? They go to some tiny fog covered island and hop a ride in the stargate to a neighboring planet. Or, the Stargate has been unused for many millenia and is the centerpiece in someone's garden.

Until SG-1 shows up that is. *g*

Been done. Well, not all of it. But I've come across at least two LotR/SG-1 crossovers. One had Sam kidnapped by Orcs (I couldn't read past the summary). The other wasn't all that bad. It just hasn't been updated in a while (damnit).

Hrm.
