Seriously, my cat has gone insane. Went to Walmart this morning (7am!), bought some crap. One of the items I bought was this cat toy value pack. It has some neon balls with bells inside, some foil ball thingys (which Gizmo loves) some small mice and this huge catnip filled mouse.

Illusion took the big mouse. She's laying on it and licking it. Any other animal (be it the other cats, the dogs, ME!) come anywhere near her, and she FREAKS. Hissing, spitting, growling, claws start to come out. I finally tossed a blanket on her and the damn mouse and put them in my room. Now she's on my bed, sitting on it while licking it and purring.

There's probably catnip in the mouse. She's just guarding her high.

My mother's doesn't, either. She was very disappointed, one of her main forms of entertainment was watching her old one get stoned.

We had a little kitty opium den a few years ago, just a box with a hole in the side with the better part of a bag of catnip in it. They'd go in and hang out for a while, then stagger out and collapse on the couch. It was hilarious. ;)

Oooooh. Kitty drugs.

Bret kitty at my house is very fussy about his kitty drugs. It has to be fresh or freshly dried catnip, or he's not interested. If it's the right kind, though, he rolls in it, runs all over the play, rolls in it more, lies on his back and drools. His pupils get huge and he stares, slack-jawed, into space.

If it's too old or too dried, he makes disgusted, wincing faces and runs away to hide in a kitchen cupboard.

*snickers* She's strange anyway. She only tolerates 2 individuals. Myself and Mia (my dog). She occasionally puts up with Gizmo. Other than us, it's hatred and loathing for the rest of the world.
