So, no extractions, no root canals. Except, one of the ones that hadn't been bothering me decided to abcess. From nothing to full blown golf balls in my right cheek in less than 12 hours. I went to the ER at midnight last night because the pain got that bad. I wasn't that swollen, so they gave me scripts for Percocet and Clindamycin (an antibiotic). At 9am, I looked like I had been stung by a dozen bees, went to the dentist to bitch about not getting an appointment. Dentist took one look at me and sent me BACK to the er.

So, I get an iv antibiotic (the clindamycin that I hadn't been able to fill yet, a day's dose in 2 hours), an xray (learned I can take my lip ring out for a half hour without it closing, so it must be pretty well healed) and told that I need to have that tooth removed. BUT, none of them are offering me a way to pay for this. So, it'll have to wait until next week.

All in all, this sucks. Because I'm still in pain, the huge dosage of antibiotics is making me queasy and I still can't eat.

I need to call and bitch at someone tomorrow. And hey, I think I figured out my speech topic for my final speech (and I do mean FINAL).

*snugs* It takes time. The antibiotics will probably take at least a day to knock out most of the pain. After that, it gets a little better--in this case, I'd give it about two days. Sigh.

But they gave you drugs, which I worried they wouldn't. So this is good. Yes.
