I stole a cat.

A long time ago, we had a siamese named Nenime. She got nailed by a big, fat chocolate persian, and had a very interesting litter. All were shorthairs except for one. One who went to my darling cousin Seph, who named him Mayhem The Great. Mayhem is an adorable (possibly a ragdoll), loving, happy cat. Of course, when they moved out of my grandmother's house, Mayhem refused to stay at the new place and kept running away back to GranJo's, so they left him there.
We went up today to visit and found out that Mayhem is sick. So I stole him and brought him home. Now, he had some ear infection that caused his ears to fall over, so GranJo took him into the vet and he was given meds. The problem is, she works and is sometimes gone two or three days at a time because she does 24 hour care for elderly/hospice patients. My great-uncle is a senile bastard who won't keep him inside and forgets whether or not he gave Mayhem his meds. So, despite having nearly finished a full bottle of Clindamycin, he is not only sick, but he's raspy and wheezy too, because he was outside in the cold.
So, I have him here, unhappy and hanging out in the kennel. He'll go to the vet as soon as I can get him in this week. Thank the gods for tax time. (This has altered what we plan to do though, because Mayhem is a bit more important, so we're going to forgo trying to buy a place and just stay with a friend until we can find a small house or apartment with a goodsized yard to rent.)
