And the latest cause of said insanity is the head of the Heathen Children (my cousins), Sgt. Seph. Yes, he's the youngest, but he is the most evil.
First, at 20 months onld, he is climbing out of cribs and playpens, over babygates and can open every door and lock in the house. We've tried barricading the kitchen by putting a piece of plywood that is as tall as he is across the doorway. He just pushes it to the side and then pulls it back shut when he's through it.
Oh, did I mention he refuses to go to sleep for anyone but me, and it has to be in MY waterbed? Yeah, it's fun. (/sarcasm)
Anyway, the newest bit of chaos involves the stove. See, we have a stove that locks, but Seph can work it. So, last night he was in the kitchen. I heard him playing with the stove and went and got him out of the room.
Now, I KNOW I told Pat (other cousin) to check the stove *before* he turned it on in order to heat it up for the pizza rolls. He says I didn't.

mysticwarlock69and I notice a funny smell and smoke in the kitchen. I went in to check, open the oven and find one of Blade's rubber boots melting on the top rack. It wasn't on fire, but I yelled to Greg and he pulled it out with a spatula while I got a bucket of water.
Needless to say, we're looking into getting a door for the kitchen. Oh, did I mention that Seph and Blade are 2 of Greg's 3 kids? The third one, Kain just stood there and laughed.
*shakes head* I worry how my brothers' kids will turn out....
