Do me a favor.

If you have a problem with me speaking my mind about people who annoy me and piss me off, unfriend me now.

If you'd rather I continue with my former MO of keeping my mouth shut and going along with everyone else just to stay in the cool kids group, unfriend me now.

I find it rather telling that the day after I tell someone off, people I thought I was friends with start ignoring me and unfriending me.

Then again, I forget that this is the internet and no one is really your friend.

Funny that, and I went and let an internet 'friend' move in with me. Oh, and I've visited others. Bad me.

Hmph. They're not really friends if they can't stand a bit of honesty. Seriously. You've still got the rest of us, though.

If people can't take the truth, then they should examine what they need to change to be able to deal with the truth.

It sounds to me like they thought themselves your friends, but then they discovered there was more to you than they had let themselves think/discover/be aware of.

So now you don't fit in their idea of the little package of what a friend should be. They can't handle their idea being broken open or just being incorrect. It causes cognitive dissonance, and people run from that who can't handle it.

I go through it on a regular basis. That's why I ended up disclaimering my LJ and link to it every time I need to. Because I got tired of trying to explain myself to people, and I got tired of people holding their own stupid ass assumptions about me against me.
