We arrived.

Actually, we arrived last night about 5:30 Arizona time. (Pacific time atm.)
And it isn't a Kym-inspired Roadtip if there wasn't some sort of catastrophe involved.
We got out two hours late. It didn't help that the storm we thought wasn't going to hit Denver until late Thursday actually hit very early Thursday so I had to pull up and map out our alternate route. Everything was going great, we were ahead of the storm and making GREAT time... until we hit Dalhart Texas. Then the storm smacked right into us.
Trapped in a hotel room with two dogs, four cats and my mother for two days...
SUNDAY! We headed out before dawn. Nasty headwinds the whole way, to the point that the truck was struggling to maintain 60mph up hills (and a few times it dropped to almost 45mph). All I have to say? I really want to make the drive from Albuquerque to Tucson again, only with a small, FAST car. Some of those roads are AWESOME. (Yes, I'm the girl that likes winding rollercoaster type roads.)
Got in, found our hotel room because the leasing office isn't open on Sundays. I pick them up in an hour. Hopefully I'll have net at home today.
Wasn't too bad though.
