Today I am thankful for a lot of things.
I'm thankful for being in this house.
I'm thankful that we still get to see my niece and nephew even though their parents split up.

I'm thankful for the family I have around me today.
I'm thankful for the things I have right now.
STOP BITCHING. If you don't like the holiday, don't celebrate. I'm tired of the whole 'it was the beginning of the end for the indians'. BITCH ABOUT IT THE REST OF THE YEAR, you know, when it might actually mean something other than 'I hate my family and this holiday so I'll find a reason to bitch about it'. My family is Native American. I've recently found out that my grandfather was half, Di and Ty are 1/4th. We're not going to suddenly stop celebrating a holiday about being thankful and being around the ones you love because of this. And I highly doubt my aunt's friends, MANY of whom live, or have lived, on the reservation are going to stop celebrating it just because someone goes 'But people died AFTER the first thanksgiving'. Because guess what, all that shit happened AFTER the first thanksgiving and winter.
And just remember, if the indians hadn't helped and all the pilgrims had died, YOU probably wouldn't be here today.
